Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM, or HOCM when obstructive) is a condition in which the heart becomes thickened without an obvious cause. This results in the heart being less able to pump blood effectively and also may cause electrical conduction problems.
